Summer Cuts

Who said fashion only applied to clothes?

A haircut is a great way to experiment with your style.

If you have a round face: Longer hair styles add length to rounder faces. Once you have grown out your luxurious locks, feel free to play with different styles! Side-swept bangs create angles on round faces, and layers give hair depth and fullness. Gentle-waves work for every occasion and look great with long hair!
TIP: For natural, beachy-waves, scrunch Beach Babe Texturizing Hair Cream into wet hair. ($5.99 at CVS)
or
Leave your wet hair in a messy bun with a loose hair tie overnight.

If you have a long face: Short hair cuts flatter girls with longer faces and features. If you're looking for a bob, you have two options: the chin-length bob and the long bob. While both look great on longer faces, it's a good idea to have a certain length in mind. Using a hair tie and bobby pins, pull your hair into a loose ponytail and tuck it under to imitate a bob; then, secure the tucked-under ponytail with your bobby pins (you can adjust the length of your bob). This is a great way to decide how short/long you would like to cut your hair! Although for the most part short hair cuts are low maintenance, sometimes  it can be really hard to find ways to get your hair out of your face. Well here's the perfect solution: Headbands!! Headbands are a trendy way to keep you from having to constantly tuck your hair behind your ears!
TIP: For anyone getting a bob for their first time, it's a good idea to ask your hairdresser to cut your hair at least 2-3 inches longer than what you had originally planned. Trust me, it's just a good idea to have those 2-3 inches to fall back on, especially if you're having any doubts!

In the event of a bad haircut, remember, HAIR GROWS!

Stylishly yours,
Chloe

Back To Blogging!

Summer is finally here! As tanning season starts to kick in, I find that lighter shades and pastels are a great way to show off some color. White peddle-pushers are my go-to pant for everything. The white draws attention to other colors in your outfit and the high waist works great with a tucked in tank. The cropped length keeps me cool during the day, and warm on chilly summer nights.

Hats are a fashionable way to escape the scorching summer sun! Adding a cute accessory, such as a hair ribbon, gives your outfit a fun and personal touch.

Stylishly yours,
Chloe

Apologies!

I would like to formally apologize to the few readers of this blog for the unannounced leave of absence that Chloe and myself have taken. We both (really only Chloe) lead rather busy lives, and it's not always easy to find the time in the day to photograph nice outfits or give y'all various fashion tips and advice. However due to the beautiful weather, and upcoming break, I'll be pushing to post every week. Thank you all for bearing with me during this time, we'll be sure to flood this blog with fashion and beauty.

Thanks again for waiting it out. We'll be back and better than ever this week.

Transitional Seasonal Apparel

The most fashion-frustrating time of year for me would be between seasons, when you just can't seem to find a happy-medium between sweaters and shorts. The transition from April showers to May flowers can make getting dressed in the morning a chore.

Patterns are a fun and fresh way to break into the welcomed warmth of spring, without jumping in head-first. If your looking to show a little bit of skin, opt for knee-length skirts and sleeve-less button-downs. And if you're just itching to get outside, bike rides are the perfect cure for Spring fever!

Spring Staples

When spring finally rolls in, some of the greatest fashions of the year finally become wearable.
Lighter colors like pinks and light blues as well as polka dots which aren't always acceptable throughout the year. While it wasn't showed in the photoshoot due to scheduling issues, any polka dot layed out shape such as repeated sailboats or anchors. I find that during spring time, nautical themes are always in fashion. Khaki or patterned shorts also are a great way to keep looking subtly stylish
throughout the spring.

A good way to keep warm while sticking with the season, favoring lighter colors and more prominent patterns.

Late Winter Fashion

Sometimes you just feel like dressing in a flannel to go on a hike, this is one of those times. Throughout winter, flannels and jeans are staples of outdoor fashion. Paired with a pair of work boots, the outcome is a pretty solid outfit!

The Plan!

Hello blogspot world!
All I ever see is women's fashion pages or YouTube channels or make up tutorials and such. What about menswear? It seems like no one out there is doing it, so why shouldn't I?
I'll be trying to post weekly menswear type things, such as outfits, ideas, seasonal things, look book type things. Anyway, bare with me as I figure this all out, hope y'all enjoy!
Have a nice week guys!
